Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
High School Diploma/GED. Experience with outreach or social media analysis. Experience with PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis).
Experience linking people to health care or human services. Experience working with diverse populations. Bilingual: English/Spanish.
Brief Description of Duties:
The PrEP Educator will conduct community outreach to raise awareness about PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) and program services.
Conduct Community outreach to raise awareness about PrEP and availability of program services.
Educate potential clients about PrEP, encourage their participation in the program and assist with eligibility screening.
Provide psychosocial support and adherence counseling for clients receiving PrEP treatment.
Follow up with patients to ensure that they are regularly attending primary medical care appointments.
Keep written and computerized records of all work performed and prepare monthly activity reports to measure progress towards accomplishment of program goals.
Other duties as assigned by Division Chief.
The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Evening and weekend work will be required at times.
