Summary of Duties: The Research Technologist will be responsible for conducting routine laboratory analyses of grape, wine and spirit samples, for performing lab management duties, including ordering supplies, maintaining an accurate chemical inventory, performing routine maintenance and calibration of a range of analytical instruments in the WSC chemistry lab as well as safety training and other record-keeping. The Technician will also be involved in field trials in area vineyards and in research winemaking as required. The incumbent may also be required to train students, post-docs, visiting scientists and other industry technicians in the conduct of routine analyses.
Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in an appropriate field of technology OR science, AND one year of research experience equivalent to Research Technologist 1 OR one year of full-time post-Bachelors college in an appropriate field of science OR technology; OR equivalent education/experience.
