This Administrative Coordinator will work directly for the Vice Chair of Pathology who is also the Division Director of Experimental Pathology, Vice Dean for the Medical Scientist Training Program, Director of Cellular Approaches to Tissue Engineering and Regeneration (CATER) Program, and Pittsburgh Liver Research Center Director, in addition to several other positions of responsibility. The Vice Chair oversees the research mission of the department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh.
The job will entail providing administrative support to the Vice Chair. Activities will include organizing meetings of Vice Chair with faculty in the Division of Experimental Pathology, working with vice chair to set milestones, scheduling budget meetings, and supporting additional research operations of the department. The incumbent will also be involved in Experimental Pathology divisional activities, correspondence, and travel arrangements. The incumbent will coordinate editorial endeavors, conference organization, and academic functions for the Vice-Chair/Division Director, maintain calendar, and provide expanded general administrative support.
The incumbent will work with the Vice Chair to coordinate the administration of graduate programs and courses. In addition, the incumbent will serve as Editorial Coordinator for Gene Expression: The Journal of Liver Research and will also serve as the coordinator of the Cellular Approaches to Tissue Engineering and Regeneration (CATER) Program.
English grammar and comprehensive computer knowledge and experience. Must possess excellent computer skills. Experience may be accepted in lieu of education.
