The UC Davis MIND Institute (Medical Investigations of Neurodevelopmental Disorders) supports a large Program on Environmental Epidemiology of Autism and Neurodevelopment, much of which is housed in the Department of Public Health Sciences. This position will provide data and statistical analysis support for MARBLES (Markers of Autism Risk in BabiesLearning Early Signs) and BUILDS, which comprise a longitudinal study that enrolls women at high risk for having a child with autism, beginning in pregnancy, along with a large biorepository, to identify early molecular markers and risk factors for autism spectrum disorder (ASD. This study is ongoing and has engaged an array of investigators from multiple disciplines within and outside UCD. University of California, Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center's Office of Community Outreach and Engagement works in partnership with diverse stakeholders to understand and address the cancer burden among diverse populations of Inland Northern and Central California.

Responsibilities The Research Data Analyst 3 provides database and analytic support to a large group of investigators, graduate students, and post-doctoral scholars, and is responsible for submission of data to the NIH (National Institutes of Health) ECHO (Environmental Influences on Children's Health Outcomes), or other national databases that may involve pooled or meta-analyses in conjunction with other ECHO, autism, or NIH studies. The Research Data Analyst 3 works with a team of programmers to maintain electronic databases, import and export files from various platforms/operating systems, assist with research design, and perform statistical (SAS) programming for analysis of complex data. Additional responsibilities include overseeing the inventory database for a specimen bank, which currently houses over two hundred thousand aliquots, implementation of advanced statistical methods, and developing solutions for unique or problematic data. The Research Data Analyst 3 also assists with grant preparation and manuscript writing. This position will work remotely, but may be required to attend in person meetings as required to meet the needs of the studies. . Required Qualifications
A master's degree in statistics, epidemiology, or related field with experience, preferred, OR demonstrated significant experience in data analysis and management involving large and/or complex research programs, or similar environment.
Excellent SAS programming skills. (Statistical Analysis System)
Familiarity with other software packages desirable.
Extensive documented data analysis experience using standard and complex statistical techniques, with the ability to summarize and report information and create graphics usable for presentations and publications.
Familiarity with and understanding of statistical modeling including generalized linear models, testing of assumptions, and application of state of the art methods to practical epidemiologic problems.
Strong ability to work independently, to juggle a large number of responsibilities and projects, and to prioritize different projects or tasks.
Excellent judgment in handling ambiguous requests or data problems.
Excellent skills and experience in communication with persons who have diverse backgrounds relative to knowledge of the study databases and to level of quantitative understanding.
This includes field staff, clinicians, and scientists from a wide variety of disciplines.
Ability to explain details regarding the databases and protocols in language understandable by not only collaborators but also students and those not familiar with epidemiologic or human studies.
Ability to easily learn new software.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
This position will work remotely, but may be required to attend in person meetings a couple of times per month to meet the needs of the studies.
