We are recruiting a Physician Assistant (Teaching Associate) to partner with our orthopaedic surgeons at the University of Washington Medical Center Northwest Campus. Our Physician Assistant will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team that in addition to orthopaedic surgeons may include primary care and rehabilitation physicians, orthopedic residents, other advanced practice providers and nurses. Our PAs are responsible for providing comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. We are currently recruiting a PA to cover the total joints service. The position is on an annual appointment. This is a 12-month service period position with an anticipated start date in Summer 2020.
1. Current and valid Washington State Physician Assistant License.
2. Graduate Degree from an accredited PA program. Nationally certified PA-C with DEA.
3. Proven excellence working in an interdisciplinary collaborative team environment.
4. Effective interpersonal skills, leadership skills, and clinical expertise in the care of orthopaedic patients.
Experience in orthopaedic care preferred but we can train motivated and talented individuals.
