Provides administrative assistance on behalf of a service unit or department within the university. Maintains financial data, which includes monthly budget and status reports.; Work hours: Mon-Fri; 8 AM-5 PM or as work requirements indicate.
35% Serves as the office manager which includes purchasing and paying invoices through Tarleton systems, assisting NWTSBDC Region office staff, and correspondence with stakeholders; Creates quarterly region reports per contract provisions, maintains financial data and yearly SBA Federal audits.
20% Performs routine secretarial duties including answering phone, scheduling appointments and correspondence mattes.
20% Coordinates all SBDC activities (including seminar and workshops) in three office locations (Brownwood, Granbury, Bridgeport).
15% Provides oversight of MIS database system of confidential client information and the electronic file system.
10% Aids in supervision of graduate students and student workers; Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years of related experience in general office or clerical work.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Excellent written communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others. Ability to work in a high stress environment.Â Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.Â Ability to work independently once given a project. Must be able to perform duties at multiple work site locations.
Working knowledge of QuickBooks and PowerPoint software programs is preferred
