The Coleridge Initiative is a research start-up within the NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service that is leveraging data to transform the way governments access and use data for the social good. The Coleridge Initiative is seeking a Project Manager to coordinate team-wide projects to meet business needs and objectives. This person will create and maintain project plans and schedules to fulfill overarching client requests and contractual agreements. The role will consult with stakeholders, user groups, and technical staff to describe and define scope of projects, technical specifications, resource requirements, schedules, and provide suggested actions in order to meet project and/or plan objectives.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Computer Science or Quantitative Social Science
Preferred Education: Master's Degree Preferably in engineering or applied sciences background.
Required Experience: 3+ years of increasingly responsible project management experience
Preferred Experience: 3+ years Project Management Professional (PMP) credential and/or PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Professional) credential
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrates ability to plan and organize projects including schedules, budgets, and project deliverables. Ability to obtain and effectively use information, including ability to identify the information needed, seek the information from a variety of sources, and skillfully extract and report the information for business benefit. Excellent collaboration and team building skills. Ability to adapt to changing circumstances through learning, flexibility, and resilience
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Solid technical foundation with some programming experience. Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, BI, etc.) and Machine Learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI). Knowledge of project schedules and budget administration such as creating and tracking budgets. Familiarity with Wikis and database management.
