The Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center seek a full-time tenure track Investigator at the rank of Associate or full Professor. Responsibilities include leading the Developmental Therapeutics (DT) program. The successful candidate will provide the vision and leadership to expand the translational and clinical activities that accelerate the availability of novel therapeutic approaches for patients with cancer.
Qualified candidates will have their MD, board certification in Hematology or Hematology/Oncology and licensure. The candidate will participate in clinical care, particularly of patients on First in Human, Phase 0/I/II studies, teaching of DT fellows, and the development of investigator-initiated and other source clinical studies. DT has dedicated patient care facilities and support staff while institutional facilities include a modern 900-bed teaching hospital, hospitals dedicated to pediatric and women’s heath, a stem cell transplantation unit, an outpatient clinical cancer center, and a clinical research office supported by the Cancer Center. The Cancer Center contains, or operates in partnership with other Northwestern University institutes, the full range of cores required for developmental therapeutics.
