The Office of Admissions Operations provides operational, processing, and custom systems support for undergraduate recruitment and admissions activities on the Indiana University Bloomington campus. This part-time position is a part of the Admissions Operations processing and systems administration team.
Enters data from transcripts and other academic materials into local and enterprise systems and databases. Continuously monitors workflow processing queues, prioritizing and adjusting tasks as needed to meet deadlines and support initiatives.
Assists with other processing tasks on an as-needed basis.
This is a remote position. You will need to demonstrate technology and system access to the following:
A high speed, stable internet connection.
A quiet, private work environment.
A PC running at least Windows 10 or a Mac running Catalina.
Two monitors (at least 14 inches each).
A full, standard-size keyboard and mouse (trackpad will not suffice).
A webcam for Zoom video conferencing.
Ability to run Pulse Secure VPN and connect to IUanyware.
Ideally, to make your remote work experience fully supportive, it would be best if you also have access to the following:
A microphone and speakers, or a headset with an attached microphone.
High school diploma or GED and two years of office work experience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including a customer service orientation and ability to interact and effectively communicate with a wide variety of individuals. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Advanced analytical problem solving skills. Demonstrated ability to follow workflow processing and work with confidential information. Advanced keyboarding skills. \Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel).
Working Conditions / Demands
This position requires a high degree of integrity and accountability as problems detected in the processing workflow impact a student's admission status. As such, there can be no tolerance for error. Discrepancies directly impact the outcome for the student, therefore requiring a mastery level for attention to detail. Must develop and maintain consistent daily standards of individual and team performance.
