These positions are contingent upon student enrollment, performance, and availability of funding.
Positions are appointed during the 2020-21 academic year (Fall, Spring and/or Summer):
Fall Semester: August 31, 2020 – January 13, 2021
Spring Semester: January 14, 2021 – May 30, 2021
May/Summer Session: May – August 2021
This does not constitute a posting for vacancies; it establishes a pool of applicants should openings occur during the 2020/21 academic year or May/Summer session 2021.
Responsibilities: Teach graduate and/or undergraduate students in assigned course(s) or applied lessons. Hold office hours to assist and advise students. Participate in relevant departmental meetings and/or other service.
Teaching may be for day, evening, or summer session courses.
*Bachelor’s degree, performer’s certificate or substantial documented professional achievement in a relevant field.
*Demonstrated teaching experience in a specified field.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Master’s degree or earned doctorate or appropriate terminal degree in relevant field by date of appointment.
*Teaching experience at the college level in relevant area of discipline, evidence of interest and success in teaching.
*Performance experience with a nationally known ensemble is preferred for positions teaching individual instrumental lessons.
Individuals with terminal degrees will be hired in the Lecturer job series.
