The USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy is seeking an enthusiastic Patient Services Specialist to join the USC Physical Therapy Associates Clinic at the University Park Campus.
The Patient Services Specialist will be performing a variety of administrative duties at the USC Physical Therapy Associates Clinic. Responsibilities include but not limited to: greeting patients and determining nature of visit; registers new patients and assigns patient IDs; collects patient information, co-payment, patient account balance, and verifies insurance eligibility and coverage level for new and returning patients.
This individual will also receive record and various forms payments following established policies and procedures; screens and prioritizes incoming calls; schedules and confirms appointments and follow-ups; provides administrative support to supervisory and management staff; and maintains a safe environment in accordance with compliance standards, policies, and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, customer service-oriented, and thrives in a fast paced environment. The successful candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, have a flexible attitude, and demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft Office and software. A team player is definitely needed to fit the role when handling day to day tasks. Previous working knowledge of patient insurance management systems is preferred. Previous experience working in patient-facing healthcare environment is preferred. Â
