Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent administrative office experience, preferably in a medical school or higher education. Three years experience analyzing data in a higher education environment or related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and responsibilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Serve the SHSU College of Osteopathic Medicine by coordinating testing and assessment services across the continuum.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Serves as front-line expert in the use of testing and assessment software (e.g., ExamSoft, Blackboard, and B-line), and provides assistance to faculty in accessing and posting appropriate testing and assessment related materials. Coordinates arrangements for the secure administration of course examinations and end-of-clerkship testing (e.g., COMAT). Collaborates with academic support services to accommodate disabilities. Prepares summary and individualized strength and opportunity reports as directed. Assists faculty in the post-test analysis of items and examinations. Manages the Osteopathic Standardized Clinical Evaluation (OSCE) modules. Maintains standardized patient scenarios used in evaluating students. Coordinates arrangements for the administration of proctored Kaplan, COMSAE, and other board prep simulations. Works with Data Analyst to process and upload outcome data into databases and works with directors and administrators to generate reports pursuant to continuous improvement. Works with a variety of stakeholders including administrators, coordinators, staff, basic science faculty, clinical faculty, preceptors, proctors, students, regulatory agencies, and members of the community to assess learning outcomes in the medical education program. Coordinates the administration of examinations and related activities both locally and remotely. Performs other duties as assigned.
