The individual in this position will serve as one of the program's backup liaisons with both the Federal Aviation Administration and Delta Air Lines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide quality teaching in assigned field of study to a very diverse student population in both lecture and laboratory settings;
Develop and revise instructional materials for both lecture and laboratory courses;
Assess student outcomes at the course, department, and college levels;
Establish, cultivate, and maintain collegial and cooperative work relationships with instructors in the ACMT Department, the Department's administrators, academic advisors, and support staff, and all College personnel;
Participate actively in the College community through ACMT Department and School of Trade Technologies meetings, coordination activities, and College-wide committee work;
Utilize campus technology to stay current in the aviation maintenance technician profession and connect to faculty, staff, and students; and
Participate in ongoing professional development activities and professional association memberships
Our Aircraft Technician Program:
Minneapolis College educates students for careers as aviation maintenance technicians by teaching the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant curriculum (14 CFR Part 147.) The ACMT program currently consists of three cohorts of 25 students each.
Our objective is to prepare students to pass the FAA Airframe and Powerplant license examination and obtain post-graduation employment as "A&P Licensed" aviation maintenance technicians.
We teach our ACMT program students in class room and lab space located in the Delta Air Lines Building C at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.
Our ACMT program is one of 49 Delta Air Lines' "preferred" aviation maintenance technician schools. ACMT students and faculty benefit from a School Partnership Agreement between the College and Delta Air Lines that provides the program with access to the support of one of the nation's largest air carriers.

Full time instructor salaries currently range from $37,437 - $82,417 annually on the basis of education and experience. Salary schedule placement is determined in accordance with the 2017 - 2019 Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.
Current FAA 147 licensure.
Must be able to satisfy requirements for issuance of a contractor's T.O.C. security badge issued by Delta Air Lines, including, but not limited to, the ability to pass the required background check.
Diploma in aviation maintenance.
Occupational Experience Requirement
Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid occupational experience in aviation maintenance.
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
