The Amb/Retail Pharmacist Coordinator for Infusion Services will provide pharmaceutical care to patients requiring infused medications through the UK Specialty Pharmacy in accordance with accreditation standards and contractual obligations.
Responsibilities of this position include serving as the primary liaison between UK Specialty Pharmacy and UK infusion centers; ensuring safe, effective, and cost-efficient medication therapy is implemented for all patients and monitoring care appropriately; facilitating the formulary review process for infused medications; and participating in appropriate hospital and/or departmental committees relevant to practice area.
This position will also be responsible for overseeing the supervision of PharmD students, pharmacy technicians, undergraduate and graduate student teachers, providing educational programs for hospital staff; establishing safe practices for infusion therapy handling; and collaborating and communicating with multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients.
Strong clinical skills; knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing; ability to prioritize; excellent communication skills; team mentality; desire to teach; and motivation are required to excel in this position.

Required Related Experience:
Required License/Registration/Certification :
Experience in home infusion, hospital infusion centers, and Specialty Pharmacy; and Specialty Pharmacy board certification preferred.
