Med-McGowan Inst Regenerative Med - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (20002400)
This position requires the successful applicant to serve as a Preclinical Study and Quality Systems Coordinator supporting complex biomedical research efforts and quality systems development within the McGowan Institute and other departments throughout the University of Pittsburgh. This individual will provide a leadership role in the various aspects later stage preclinical research planning, coordination and implementation of select studies requiring a high degree of oversight and inputs.
Other primary areas of support include managing of quality systems elements(QSE) including data reviews and analysis, procedure development, study monitoring, assist in auditing and inspectional roles. The successful individual will work directly with and train under the guidance of the Director of QA to develop skills and knowledge for a variety of approaches including but not limited to the FDA- Good Laboratory Practice regulations, GCLP standards, Animal Rule of which are used as a reference standard(s) supporting studies involving large and diverse experimental teams.
In addition, applicants must have diverse skills/aptitude, very well organized, the desire to develop a strong regulatory knowledge base, work independently and maintain skills commensurate with established experience in areas including bioengineering, veterinary medicine or biomedical and surgical research within the academic setting; a minimum 5+ years of experience preferred. In addition, applicants that have experience in regulatory oversight functions such as related to IACUC, Research Conduct and Compliance and Regulatory Affairs are encouraged to apply.
Experience can be substituted for advanced experience at BS and 7+ years.
