The Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension wishes to hire a new faculty on the Academic - Clinical Emphasis to provide services in the Transplant Nephrology program within the Division.
This position will be 80-85% clinical and 15-20% academic in composition. The clinical duties will consist of both inpatient and outpatient clinical professional services in the University of Minnesota Health Clinics and Surgery Center and UMMC, Fairview Hospital.
Other responsibilities include quality assurance and improvement, medical administration, professional recruitment, utilization review, participation in Transplant, Division, Department and hospital medical staff meetings. This faculty position is expected to contribute to the academic mission of the Department of Medicine and the Division of Renal Diseases and Hypertension and will participate in the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows, and meet the academic expectations as set for by the Department Chair and Division Director.
Candidates for the position must hold an M.D. (or international equivalent) or D.O. degree, be board certified in Nephrology, and have completed a Transplant Nephrology fellowship. Applicants must have the ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of VISA category while in the United States.
Interest in clinical or translational research is desired. Experience in research is preferred by not required.
