The focus of the FYE courses is on college connection, career exploration, academic planning, and goal setting. Campus orientation, self-management, and academic skills for success will also be a part of the courses. FYE will also include studies related to life skills, information technology, and basic strategies for academic success. The vision is to help students take more responsibility for their success in their college career and to persist to complete a credential.
Part-time faculty are chosen on an as needed basis for selected day, evening, and weekend college classes at our campus locations and online. Adjunct faculty are paid at the rate of $725 per college credit hour.

Minimum Education/Experience Requirements:
Master's degree in any field
At least two years of teaching experience
Experience with Blackboard and other instructional technology
A Master's degree (any area) and completion of FYE training are required. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in college teaching or online teaching (if needed). In addition to FYE training, if selected to teach online, instructors are required to complete training offered by the college. BCTC uses the Blackboard Course Management System.
