The Admissions Specialist reports to the Director of Enrollment Management in the School of Professional Studies. This position provides admission support for all masterâ™s programs. The Specialist will ensure that daily processes, data entry, and communications have been properly maintained and in a timely manner, supporting the successful review of applications, communication to applicants, and matriculation of admitted students. The Admissions Specialist will work to support masterâ™s program administrators across campus on maintaining their applications and supporting their work within the Admissions CRM (Technolutions Slate.)
This role demands great attention to detail, the ability to make sound decisions, and the ability to support masterâ™s program administrators, the Enrollment Management team, applicants, students, and University staff and faculty when required.Â
Admission file processing for masterâ™s programs
Liaise with program administrators to provide training and ongoing support in Slate
Monitor and reply to Enrollment Management controlled email accounts and phone support
Additional admission and enrollment support
Prioritizing day-to-day responsibilities and resolving problems within the scope of the position.
Determine priority of projects assigned.
Determine nature and status of application materials received.
Identify corrections as needed before decision mailings.
Incumbent must be able to make decisions on all routine issues concerning data entry and verification.

Education and Experience
Bachelorâ™s Degree and 1-2 years of experience or equivalent of education and experience required.Â
Experience working with Slate, Banner, or other student systems preferred.
Experience working in an academic setting preferred.Â
Superior computing abilities including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps for Education and basic technology troubleshooting experience required.
Excellent writing & verbal communication skillsÂ
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to do detail-oriented workÂ
Strong analytical and time management skills requiredÂ
Ability to meet stringent deadlines and work under pressureÂ
Ability to troubleshoot in a high-volume, changing work environmentÂ
