Goucher College's Human Resources Generalist will serve as the primary point of contact for HR technical needs and has a lead role in driving organizational performance and talent development. The HR Generalist also assists with talent acquisition and compensation management, among other duties. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that the Office of Human Resources is able to fulfill its mission.
This position will assess institutional needs to develop, deliver, manage, and evaluate online and face-to-face training and development programs; manage the performance evaluation program, including the development of performance improvement plans and refining methods for measuring, tracking, and evaluating performance; support technology applications including but not limited to the human resources information system, applicant tracking system, and will recommend new technologies for improved data flow and automation capability; will assist with the talent acquisition process, writing and posting job advertisements and helping hiring managers navigate the recruitment and selection process; and will assist with compensation management including but not limited to classification review, salary adjustments, and participation in salary surveys.
Qualified candidates will possess a high school diploma and a minimum of three years of human resource generalist experience, including experience developing and delivering group presentations and user experience using an HRIS system.
Preferred candidates will possess a Bachelor's degree and five years of human resources experience, direct experience in a training and/or organizational development role, technical experience with an HRIS system, and experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
