Goucher College's Financial Aid Counselor provides comprehensive financial aid customer service to prospective and current students and their families and is also in charge of specific Title IV eligibility criteria and program. This position will manage key programs including Direct Parent PLUS loans and Private loans including determining eligibility, awarding, disbursing and reconciling. The Financial Aid Counselor will processes paperwork in accordance with line with federal, state, and institutional policies and procedures.
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma and at least two years of financial aid experience. Candidate must have experience with Financial Aid applications such as COD, NSLDS, FAA Acesss, ELM, and PowerFAIDS or other comparable software systems and the ability to use Microsoft applications. Good communication and math skills are necessary. Candidates must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor's degree and experience with PLUS loans and Private Loans (via ELM).
