Reporting to the Senior Director for Auxiliary and Business Services, the Director of Strategic Sourcing and Campus Business Services leads the development and implementation of the university's product and service sourcing strategy and directs the operation of the Campus Business Services (OneCard) Office.
Typically a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent experience. Master's Degree preferred. Incumbent will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of regulation/policy changes.
Minimum 5 years of successful experience in strategic sourcing and purchasing. Higher education or non-profit experience preferred.
Minimum 3 years of experience in management and direction of a department or medium size staff.
Proven ability to develop and lead strategic sourcing strategies and initiatives to deliver significant business impact.
Demonstrated knowledge of and understanding of operating, capital budget processes and accepted accounting procedures is required.
Demonstrated ability to administer bid processes, RFQs, and RFPs.
Strong negotiating skills.
Highly developed organizational and leadership skills.
Demonstrated computer competency in Microsoft Office Suite (including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, Project and Visio)
