The Coordinator leads all admissions and recruitment efforts for the Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS) program (MLS, MMLS, Certificate and MS in Biomedical Science) and the Occupational Therapy program (OTD, OT Bridge) including managing all admissions policies and procedures for those programs. The staff member will work closely with faculty, Program Directors and Director of Student Services to ensure a seamless and fluid admission and recruitment process. This position reports to the Director of Student Services.
This is a 100% continuing Civil Service position (classification 8463P2).
JOB DUTIES: Student Recruitment (45%):
Create and implement, in coordination with the CAHP Student Services Director, a robust and comprehensive recruitment strategic plan to attract, admit and enroll diverse and qualified students into the programs.
Manage all phases of recruitment, admissions and enrollment cycles for MSL and OT academic programs to ensure enrollment targets are met.
Work in collaboration with the Pre-health Student Resource Center to recruit applicants from the University of Minnesota.
Implement established partnerships with CLA and CBS to recruit students.
Coordinate with strategic communication resources provided through CAHP on recruitment strategies through marketing and communication initiatives.
Attend local and national conferences and workshops to recruit potential applicants
Create, execute, and engage in all student recruitment programs and events.
Admissions and Enrollment (45%):
Develop and implement admissions procedures, including the OTCAS application system, ApplyYourself application system, customer relationship management systems, faculty review and interview process, prerequisite requirements and program faculty approval of the admission cohort
Advise prospective students on admission and enrollment requirements and procedures for both MLS and OT programs.
Manage and address student problems and questions regarding admission policies and procedures, application systems, admission decisions and transition to the program.
Manage all aspects of the application systems and serve as CAHP’s primary contact for updates, changes, enhancements or additional requirements.
Manage the process from application review, admission offers, and acceptance of admission offers.
Student Services Administration (10%):
Provide recruitment and admission data and statistics for assessment and strategic planning purposes.
Serve as a backup to other positions in OSCAS as needed by contributing to advising and student service program needs.
Engage in ongoing professional development.
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree plus two years of related experience or the equivalent combination of relevant education and experience totaling six years
