Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal and private third-party payors.
Working knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-9CM coding and computerized billing systems such as IDX.
Proficient computer skills and use of appropriate software related to the job.
Fire and Safety Certification.Â If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date (If assigned within the City of LA).
Performs billing for medical services rendered. Review and analyze patient records to determine the correct codes to use for billing purposes. Track data over multiple visits and maintaining patient confidentiality.
