Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Secretary II for the COVID-19 Coordinating Entity at Rutgers, University Behavioral Health Care.
Under direction, provides a wide variety of secretarial, administrative and general office services to the Call Center program(s). Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complimentary to the program(s).
Among the key duties of this posting are the following:
Provides secretarial assistance to staff members.
Completes appropriate internal paperwork (paper or electronic) required by Department, UBHC, and University.
Completes typing assignments with 90-95% accuracy as observed by the supervisor and indicated by feedback from staff.
Maintains an accurate filing system to meet the needs of the Department.
Handles internal and external mail for Department.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduation from an accredited program in secretarial studies plus three (3) years of full-time secretarial experience required.
An additional year of experience is required in lieu of the secretarial program.
Up to sixty (60) credits may be substituted for two (2) years of secretarial experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficiency in typing and experience with Microsoft Office package (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
College credits may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for secretarial experience.
Proficiency in Outlook.
Knowledge of PeopleSoft and procurement policies and procedures.
Salary: $22.56 per hour
