The Student Health Center (SHC) at New York University (NYU) is a dynamic health care service that supports the well-being and academic success of over 60,000 students studying all over the world. The SHC near Washington Square is our main facility for medical services and houses Primary Care, Women’s Health, Medical Specialties, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Pharmacy and more. This site is also home to and integrated with Counseling and Wellness, one of the most robust college mental health services in the U.S.
The Team Leader will provide clinical assessment, short-term psychotherapy, group therapy, and crisis intervention to student population at NYU Polytechnic Institute (NYU-Poly); oversee multidisciplinary teams, residents and externs in a variety of psychological disciplines.
Required Education: Ph.D. in clinical psychology. NY State license or eligibility.
Required Experience: 3 years' post-doctoral clinical experience. Some experience supervising postdoctoral and doctoral clinicians and/or other counseling staff members.
Preferred Experience: Experience with diverse adolescent or college population. Depending on need experience with including but not limited to alcohol and other drugs and eating disorders.
