Licensure as a registered nurse in good standing in North Carolina or a compact state, meeting the North Carolina Board of Nursing's requirements for nurse educator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chair of the Department of Nursing and working closely with the Director of Undergraduate Programs, the position requires teaching, service, and program administration, and marketing and recruitment responsibilities. Duties include both virtual and on-campus activities and presence.
The successful candidate's responsibilities may include teaching in the RN to BSN program, service on committees, advising students, assisting with RN to BSN program development and evaluation, and participation in official activities of the Department, College, and University. Responsibilities include utilizing best practices in online teaching and learning, and working effectively with faculty, staff, students, and other departments and services across campus. The Coordinator is responsible for providing student data for reporting purposes, following current guidelines from regulatory and accreditation bodies, and contributing to reporting requirements and documents. Responsibilities also include developing and disseminating recruitment materials, developing and hosting recruitment events, and conducting open house, orientation, and information sessions for the RN to BSN program.
Ability and willingness to teach online courses.
Two years of full time teaching in a nursing program.
Experience with online course development and instruction.
Experience with RN to BSN curriculum, course design and evaluation.
