The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Neurosciences is seeking a full-time, board-certified Ophthalmologist with fellowship-training in Cornea and External Disease and Refractive Surgery. The position will include an active clinical practice at the University of Minnesota and possibly one or two satellite facilities. The position will require supervising, mentoring and teaching medical students, residents and fellows along with other curriculum development responsibilities. The successful candidate will participate in research projects and other academic/scholarly activities either as a collaborator or independent researcher, and participate in faculty development activities tailored to the candidate's career interests and goals.
MD degree, completion of an Ophthalmology residency and a one-year Cornea and External Disease and Refractive Surgery fellowship, board certification in Ophthalmology, licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota, experience or interest in clinical research and other scholarly activities.
Hire will be at Assistant, Associate or full Professor rank on Academic track depending upon qualifications.
