FACULTY POSITION IN PERIODONTOLOGY UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA SAN FRANCISCO
The University of California San Francisco (UCSF), Department of Orofacial Sciences invites applications for a position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, tenure track or clinical series (HS Clinical or Clinical X), in the Division of Periodontology. The successful candidate will be primarily expected to develop, sustain and lead an extramurally funded program of fundamental and/or translational research in an area related to oral disease. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in clinical service within the UCSF Division of Periodontology Clinics, to care for patients and to contribute to the educational activities of predoctoral, postgraduate and graduate students in the School of Dentistry. The applicant must possess a DDS (or equivalent), be a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology or Board Eligible, and possess Conscious/Moderate Sedation Certification or ability to Certify in Conscious Sedation. Preference will be given to candidates with advanced graduate education preferably to the PhD level that has suitably prepared them for a successful and leading scientific career in academia. Applicant’s materials must list current and pending qualifications upon submission. Salary will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
