The University of Maryland, Baltimore School of Social Work has an opportunity for a Research Project Coordinator or Senior Research Project Coordinator to work in the Texas Center of the Institute for Innovation and Implementation in Austin, Texas . The Research Project Coordinator or Senior Research Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the evaluation activities for Wraparound implementation for the state of Texas. The position coordinates data collection, entry and maintenance, project evaluation, and meeting scheduling. The Research Project Coordinator serves as a point of contact for Wraparound providers, research personnel and support staff, as well as external partners at times. Efforts for the Research Project Coordinator include conducting onsite documentation reviews with Wraparound providers, collecting and storing data during onsite reviews, and maintaining data collection integrity. The position conducts complex work and contributes to measurable team objectives; adheres to good research practices, study protocols, and applicable regulations; uses discretion to provide solutions to issues; and performs work that is varied and that does not follow prescribed procedures or processes. The Institute serves as a national training, technical assistance, evaluation, policy, systems design, and finance center that is focused on children's behavioral health.
The Texas Center, established in 2017, is a center of excellence that supports state and local child- and family-serving systems and organizations with the design, implementation, and sustainability of high quality, effective behavioral health services and supports for children, youth, young adults, and their families. In partnership with the Youth Empowerment Services (YES) 1915c waiver, the Texas Center's primary effort is to provide continuous quality improvement, policy, financing, research and evaluation, and workforce development expertise to support installation of Wraparound across Texas.

This position will be physically located in Austin, Texas . This position requires flexible hours including travel which will require overnight stays and air travel. It is preferred if the selected candidate can speak Spanish fluently.
Research Project Coordinator
Independently coordinates and communicates directly with the Texas Center Director, families, and sponsors to manage the evaluation activities.
Responsible for ensuring optimum efficiency and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications.
Uses evaluation techniques, originality, and ingenuity to resolve non-routine issues.
Coordinates the collection and management of study data by conducting onsite documentation reviews, establishing and maintaining databases, and performing data quality checks.
Recruits, screens, and evaluates study participants. Serves as a liaison between Wraparound Provider Organizations and the Texas Center to arrange and conduct onsite data collection.
Develops reports of study data for project staff, stakeholders, and agency staff.
Develops and distributes training materials for evaluation protocols and data collection guidelines. Assists with facilitating and delivering training as needed.
Monitors activities to ensure compliance with protocols and all relevant local, federal, and state regulatory and institutional policies.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Senior Research Project Coordinator performs all functions of the Research Project Coordinator and:
Develops and prepares study or research related documentation such as protocol worksheets, procedural manuals, case report forms, and institutional review board documents. Responsible for developing and producing custom and routine reports.
Evaluate project effectiveness in order to develop and implement new or improved methods. Devise and implement evaluation methodologies.
Contributes meaningful information to enhance publications or grant applications.
Independently coordinates data collection activities, including developing and maintaining data collection protocols, timelines, and data tracking documentation.
Research Project Coordinator: Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, nursing, emergency services, psychology, or another scientific discipline appropriate to position required. Prior experience in research and evaluation preferred.
Senior Research Project Coordinator: Bachelor's degree in social work, public health, nursing, emergency services, psychology or another scientific discipline appropriate to position required. Two (2) years of research and evaluation coordination experience with at least one (1) year in data collection, entry and maintenance, project evaluation, meeting scheduling, and research subject interfacing.
Other: May consider a combination of directly related experience and education. Verbal fluency in Spanish and English and ability to read and write in Spanish is strongly preferred.

The Hiring Range for the Research Project Coordinator is in the mid $40,000s to low $50,000s, commensurate with education and experience.
The Hiring Range for the Senior Research Project Coordinator is in the low to high $50,000s, commensurate with education and experience.
