The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine is seeking a full-time, non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Instructor/Assistant Professor to join our team of physicians at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital, Prentice Women’s Hospital, and satellite locations in Chicago. The Prentice Women’s Hospital has approximately 12,000 deliveries per year and an 80+ bed Level III NICU, while the adjacent Lurie Children’s NICU has a 60-bed Level IV NICU. Our satellite locations include several Level II and III nurseries in the Chicago area.
The clinical responsibilities will be located at the academic Level IV center and satellites, and will include attending high-risk deliveries and managing the care of critically ill newborns. The academic responsibilities will include participation in education, clinical research, quality improvement, and development of an area of expertise of the individual’s choosing. Administrative responsibilities will be available, if desired.
The successful candidate will be Board-certified or eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. The initial academic appointment at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine will be at the rank of Assistant Professor commensurate with experience and academic achievement. The salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.
The position is available immediately upon successful licensure with the State of Illinois. The start date is negotiable, and the position will remain open until filled.
