The Center for Academic Excellence (CAE) at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, invites applications for a Chemistry Learning Specialist.
As Chemistry Learning Specialist in the CAE, the successful candidate will assist students learning chemistry by integrating learning strategies and the development of chemistry skills into supplemental courses, reviews, and tutoring. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills is critical. The Chemistry Learning Specialist provides instruction in courses designed to support students who may experience difficulty with Chemistry. In addition, there may be an opportunity to serve as an instructor in the Chemistry Department, as coordinated and approved by the Director of the Center for Academic Excellence and the Chemistry Department Chair.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide instruction in courses designed to support students who may experience difficulty with Chemistry
Serve as an instructor in the Chemistry Department, as coordinated and approved by the Director of the CAE and the Chemistry Department
Facilitate and instruct in Supplemental Chemistry Classes
This is a federal excepted service position. This is a full-time, 10-month, non-tenure track position and may require evening tutoring and/or reviews. Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
