Advise New York University's College of Dentistry students on academic and administrative requirements for registration and related services. Interpret and communicate information regarding grades, honors, maintenance of matriculation and equivalencies, degree audit, transcripts, graduation, etc. Ascertain all policy and procedural changes for schools and administrative offices, analyst changes to determine negative impacts that could effect students, and advise students and College and administrative offices and recommend possible alternatives. Analyze student status and certification requirements for all guaranteed loan programs and NYS aid programs; advise students and parents on Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) loan deferments.
Required Education: Bachelor's degree and
Required Experience: 2 years' experience providing academic or administrative advice to students or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent listening, problem-solving, customer-service, and communications skills. Ability to develop relationships with College and University administrative offices around campus to ensure the effective resolution of students' problems. Knowledge of standard office software.
