Coordinate and teach within the Respiratory Care Program to meet program outcomes and objectives ensuring that educational standards are met to enhance student learning.
Serve as Clinical Coordinator of the Respiratory Care Program.
Communicate and collaborate with clinical agencies and actively participate in advisory committee meetings and with other agencies as required.
Conduct assessment activities to support College, Program and Accreditation standards. Participate in activities that are required and support the initiatives of the College, Senate, Division and Discipline.
Valid registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and licensure in the State of Michigan or obtainable.
Bachelor Degree accredited and recognized by the US Department of Education in Respiratory Care, Healthcare or related field.
Four years as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with two years (4,000 hours) in clinical respiratory care.
Two years of teaching experience at the college level in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor.
Master’s Degree in Respiratory Care, Healthcare or related field.
Substantive multicultural experience (for example: urban community service, academic course work in minority or foreign language studies, or teaching experience with minority students).
Ability to teach in a variety of formats, including on-line.
