Research Support - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Associate Director of Research Core Facilities, Finance & Administration. This position fulfills the ORED mission and goals by working in close partnership with ORED leadership and departmental research core directors, the core facility advisory committee and staff to develop and implement the University research cores' strategy. The position monitors external and internal factors influencing the research cores' shared mission and goals.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Plans for resources required for the research cores to achieve their goals, and support research core directors in conceptualizing, prioritizing, and planning new services in support of scientific advancement.
Supports, and when necessary drive, the research cores' processes for strategic planning with key faculty and staff.
Works collaboratively to support university-wide Core Facility strategic initiatives and executes duties within the regulatory, policy and compliance guidelines as set forth by the university.
Works closely with University Finance on issues related to validation of recharge center models for core facilities as well as other core facility compliance issues.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree, in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
A minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience in a leadership or managerial role of increasing responsibility.
