Summary of Duties:
Works in collaboration with Honda and the Honda Chair in Transportation to develop advanced emerging technologies, utilizing the new wind tunnel facility in a multidisciplinary environment; develops a strategy and roadmap for creating the Aerodynamics Center of Excellence between Ohio State and Honda; manages the conduct of all or part of research related to experimental aerodynamics, and automotive aerodynamic; develops robust fundamental and applied research portfolios; develops devices of various types for empirical studies, including hardware, software, and statistical methods; participates in determining researching priorities and planning programs of research; serves as lead PI or co-PI on sponsored research projects; secures external funding and serves as research program manager on funded projects related to experimental automotive aerodynamics; conducts continuing education for research personnel at all levels; mentors graduate students and technical staff members of the research team; prepares reports and publications associated with sponsored research programs.
Doctoral degree in a Mechanical Engineering and/or Aerospace Engineering; nationally recognized authority and leader in an area of widespread scientific interest and investigator who has received honors and awards from major national organizations for accomplishments; sought as an advisor and consultant on scientific and technological programs and problems.
