Research Administration Manager
The George Mason University, Office of Sponsored Programs is looking for an enthusiastic and energetic person to join their team as a Research Administration Manager. Manages a team responsible for providing both pre- and post-award support for sponsored program activities including budget and proposal development, award set-up, cost compliance and other post award monitoring activities;
Serves as the primary point of contact for the team related to proposal and award management actions and related questions from academic unit administrators and faculty;
Serves as a member of the OSP management team;
Assigns work to team members and tracks workloads to ensure performance expectations are maintained and will serve as a resource for team members by providing direction, mentoring, training and professional development opportunities;
Will take the lead on large, collaborative, multi-disciplinary proposals and awards by leading meetings and developing a timeline for pre- and post-award activities.
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education;
Significant relevant, professional experience in a sponsored program environment. A candidate with a CRA is preferred;
Should possess leadership and presentation skills and must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
