The Department of Preventive Medicine is in search of an Administrative Assistant II for the Los Angeles Cancer Surveillance Program (CSP) at the University of Southern California.Â This is the cancer registry for Los Angeles County, one of the largest and most scientifically active cancer registries in the United States.
Schedules meetings with external collaborators and other activities to facilitate communication
Develops business correspondence, reports, and forms (i.e. administrative letters)
Coordinates activities of progress reports
Tracks biosketches, CVs, and publications of CSP leadership
Assists in publication preparation
Maintains documentation of abstracts, posters, presentations, and other record keeping
Monitors statuses of special studies and projects
Performs other related duties as assigned
The ideal candidate will have strong organizational capabilities with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, will be adept at problem-solving, and will have strong leadership and effective communication capabilities. Minimum 3 years of experience required. A bachelorâs degree is required
