The ExpandedFood and Nutrition Education Program (EFNEP) Program Assistant II will work 40hours a week and is responsible to the County Extension Director and worksunder the direction of the EFNEP Area Specialist. This position will supportcounty work to:
Provide leadership for a program ofactivities that meets the needs of all eligible clientele regardless of race,color, national origin, age, sex, disability, religion, or veteran status.
Recruit and enroll youth groups and familiesin the EFNEP program.
Conduct and teach programs individually andin group settings by demonstrating the following:
Efficient use of limited family resources inproviding an adequate diet for the family.
Instruction in food production, mealplanning, food preparation, and preservation and serving to improve the family'shealth through improved nutrition.
Skills related to health and nutrition, suchas sanitation and food storage.
Information and experiences that will aid inraising the aspirations of low-income families to develop pride and improve thefamily and home life environment.
Collect and store complete and accuraterecords needed in planning, implementing, and evaluating the EFNEP Program.
