The College of Liberal Arts at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) invites applications for a nine-month, part-time Theatre Education Instructor in the Department of Theatre & Dance. The Theatre Program is seeking an accomplished instructor of Theatre to join the faculty beginning fall 2020 as a supervisor for students pursuing Teacher Certification. Primary responsibilities include supervising students at local and regional high schools as they complete field-basing and student teaching requirements. The ideal candidate will also teach courses online, and engage in departmental activities as needed.
The Department of Theatre & Dance at TAMU-CC is a 13-member faculty, 150+ major program offering a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentrations in Acting/Directing, Design/Tech, Teacher Certification, a Minor in Theatre, and a Minor in Dance.
A Terminal Degree in Theatre
Experience supervising college students pursuing Teacher Certification
Experience teaching Theatre at the high school level
Familiarity with the Teacher Certification process at the collegiate level in Texas
