The Center for the Study of Ethnicity and Race invites applications for a Lecturer in Discipline beginning July 1, 2020. This is a full-time appointment with multi-year renewal contingent on successful reviews.
The successful candidate will be appointed in any department in the humanities or social sciences. Applicants should have PhD in hand, a background in training or experience in Ethnic Studies, a commitment to scholarly and teaching excellence, and a specialization in some combination of the following fields: Asian American, African American, Latinx, Native and Indigenous, and/or comparative ethnic studies; with thematic specialization open. The Lecturer will be a full member of the Center's core faculty, with associated benefits and responsibilities. They will teach four courses a year, including courses in the ethnic studies core curriculum.
Review of applications will begin April 15, 2020 and continue until the position is filled. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, sample syllabi, writing sample (no more than 20 pages) and contact information for three academic references.
