Instructor of Spanish (Non tenure-track)
The University of South Carolina, Aiken, a senior institution in the University of South Carolina system, seeks candidates for Instructor of Spanish, beginning August 16, 2020. Required: minimum earned M.A. in Spanish. Other degrees may be considered (M.A. in Education, M.Ed., etc.) providing applicants have completed a minimum of 18 graduate hours in Spanish. Previous experience with translation and online course delivery strongly preferred. Teaching responsibilities will include a 3-course load per semester of Spanish 101, 102, and 130 (an accelerated course containing elements of 101 and 102). The Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures offers a minor in Spanish, and is developing a new Spanish major; there are currently 6 full time faculty members in the department that teach courses in Spanish, French and German.
