Position Summary: Responsible for planning, directing and managing the budgeting process and associated staff. Takes lead role to produce and analyze both patient and general ledger data to assist all levels of management in decision making. Manages the annual operating and long range budget processes. Interacts with all levels within the organization, including executive leaders,, directors, and managers as well as insurance companies, third party payers, vendors and regulatory agencies.
Rate Minimum $79,800.00 Maximum $181,900.00
Required Qualifications: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystemAbility to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workloadBachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceDemonstrated experience building competency and developing skills of othersDetailed understanding healthcare analytics in the areas of profit reporting, business case analysis and projections and valuationsExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishExperience in working with payor contracts, terms and conditions definitions and governmental payment systemsMinimum 1 year of demonstrated experience in leadership/managerial position in a finance or decision support department within a Hospital or Health SystemMinimum 5 to 7 years' experience in hospital decision support or financial analysis.Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the jobMust possess general knowledge of various reimbursement methodologies (per diem, per case, capitation, indemnity, etc)Must possess the skill, knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of assigned dutiesSelf- directed and organized with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.Thorough knowledge of Decision Support Systems, Budget and Planning processes and strong understanding of facility billing systems. Microsoft Excel, Access, etc., presentationsWorking knowledge of billing commercial claims, workers compensation, managed care and all other third party payers.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in FinanceKnowledge of University and Medical Center organizations, policies, procedures and formsMaster's degree in Health Care Management, Business, Finance or Accounting
