FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Queens College solicits resumes to be added to its pool of potential adjunct instructors. Typically, adjunct positions are available for courses in Foundations of Education, Educational Psychology/Child Development, Literacy Studies, Social Studies, Early Childhood Education and others. Most courses meet once weekly on weekday mornings, afternoons or evenings. Retired educators and doctoral students with daytime availability are especially encouraged to apply.
For Adjunct Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor:
Ph.D. degree in area(s) of experience or equivalent. Also required is the ability to teach successfully.
For Adjunct Lecturer:
Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully.
Preferred qualification sought include:
· Minimum of a Master's Degree in Education or related field for Adjunct Lecturer;
· Previous experience in K-12 or equivalent;
· Strong oral and written communication skills in English; and
· College-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.
