As Academic Program Coordinator for the College of Communication Arts and Sciences, you will coordinate the administrative functions for our post-graduate academic programs including initial admissions, academic progress, employment, records maintenance, monetary disbursements, academic advising, and graduation. You will work with the department chairs/directors, program directors and faculty, to manage and submit workcopy (course schedule) for academic programs. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external constituencies on all matters pertaining to college academic programs, as well as the liaison to Chair/Director, Academic Programs Manager, and senior management teams; organizing and coordinating executive outreach and external relations efforts; and handling special projects.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired through the first two or three years of college, such as an Associate's degree in business, education, higher education, psychology, business or a related field which corresponds to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in university/college/academic admissions or related administrative position; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three or more years of administrative support experience in an academic student affairs environment
Familiar with D2L, CLIFMS, GAMS, and SIS;
Handle multiple complex schedules;
Ability to work independently with confidence while taking initiative to be proactive;
Experience with running office operations and supervising student employees;
Familiarity and experience with university policies and procedures;
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy, resourcefulness, and efficiency;
Demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to interact with dynamic constituents in a timely, courteous, and professional manner;
Demonstrates work orientation that includes a focus on service, problem solving, teamwork, flexibility to change, a positive attitude and a desire for continuous learning towards self-improvement;
Technical aptitude to learn new software with limited support and training;
Knowledge of University policies and practices.
