Wells College seeks applicants for a full-time Study Abroad Program Recruitment Specialist for a three-year position with the possibility of continuation. Wells College is a nationally recognized private coeducational liberal arts college located in Aurora, New York, with a 40-year old study abroad program in Florence, Italy. The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for increasing enrollment in the program over the course of a three-year period and assessing the potential of other educational sites for study abroad opportunities. Duties include but are not limited to develop marketing and recruitment strategies, develop and maintain websites and social media communications, and travel for recruitment and orientation purposes. Applicants should have study abroad recruitment experience; budgeting, project directing, and marketing experience; project management skills; the ability to organize and carry out multiple tasks, and to delegate tasks as necessary; exceptional oral, presentation, and written skills; social media skills; excellent interpersonal skills; intercultural competency; ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff; and ability to travel extensively using all modes of transportation. The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (though a Master’s degree preferred); 5 or more years’ experience in study abroad or international education; experience working in higher education environment; experience living, studying, or working abroad; multi-lingual proficiency (Italian preferred); and valid passport.
