The Employer Engagement Coordinator (EEC) develops and maintains relationships with local, regional, national and global corporations and not-for-profit organizations in order to coordinate employer involvement in specialized activities in which they will engage with faculty, staff, students and alumni. These engagement activities go beyond traditional recruitment services and are designed to deepen an employer's brand with students/alumni, provide career planning and exploration resources to students/alumni, and facilitate connections which lead to full-time employment and experiential education opportunities for USC students and alumni.
The EEC works collaboratively as part of the Employer Relations team within the Career Center and is expected to develop strong relationships with Career Center colleagues on the career development and experiential education teams, as well as with faculty and staff in academic departments.
The EEC plays an important role in representing the Career Center to internal constituents and the University to external constituents.
EVENTCOORDINATION, LOGISTICS & MARKETING (30%): Collaborate closely with Career Center and campus partners to coordinate special events through which employers engage with students (i.e. partner days, information sessions, information tabling, webinars, classroom presentations, etiquette dinners, resume reviews, mock interviews, employer-in-residence events, and other special programs).
Manage all event logistics such as venue rentals and set-up, catering, parking, itinerary development, confirmation correspondence, etc. Invoice employers, track all revenue generated, and document all related expenses.
Develop a wide variety of marketing collateral (flyers, posters, emails, web content, etc.) to promote employer engagement activities. Develop event marketing tool-kits and solicit the assistance of Career Center colleagues in other functional areas (i.e. career development, experiential education) to promote employer engagement events out to students, faculty and staff.
CAMPUSRELATIONSHIPDEVELOPMENT & MANAGEMENT (20%): Work closely with Employer Outreach Specialists and other Employer Relations staff to identify strong employer prospects for engagement activities.
Work collaboratively with Career Center colleagues in other functional areas (i.e. career development, experiential education) to coordinate programming logistics, particularly for classroom presentations and/or events involving faculty/staff or student organizations.
ASSESSMENT & COMMUNICATION (20%): Accurately and efficiently document all employer engagement interactions using the Career Center's customer relationship management (CRM) software. Use CRM or other tools to develop/implement systems for tracking depth of engagement using an employer engagement continuum. Establish measurable criteria for determining what constitutes a
