The Director of the EMBA Program is responsible for the recruiting and management of the program. The Director will supervise all aspects of the EMBA program delivery in support of teaching faculty and students, from the time of recruitment through graduation. Building upon a strong brand and reputation, the EMBA Director will work with the faculty, staff, deans and external stakeholders to position the curricula and EMBA program for continued growth.
Recruits, interviews and admits prospective students, and champions the program to attract high-caliber talent that demonstrates potential to succeed as a business leader. Provides academic and career counseling during students' enrollment in the program. Retains students and nurtures relationships with EMBA students and alumni. Manages day-to-day operations of the Program. Markets and brands the program. Creates long-term and short-term scheduling plans for the program. Coordinates EMBA class hiring and staffing with Chairs and senior leadership. Designs and implements partner visits and events. Arranges guest speakers, corporate tours, and regional engagement activities. Manages the travel abroad experience for students. Ensures that student's needs and expectations are properly met. Serves as the link of communication between students, faculty, and administrative offices. Collects student feedback on all faculty and courses. Prepares regular reports of progress and forecasts to senior leadership. Manages the EMBA Program budget. Provides ongoing leadership of the program, both within the university and to external stakeholders. Promotes the program through interactions with others, and pursues activities to elevate its stature. Manages program assessment including faculty evaluations and course goal compliance. Creates and executes plans to meet stated objectives. Supports other duties as required.
EMBA or other advanced business degree. Seven to ten (7-10) years of professional business and industry background with senior management or leadership experience or the equivalent experience. Strong interpersonal skills for effectively relating to faculty, students, and staff. Strong interest in and commitment to graduate business education. Ability to exercise good judgment in making student admission decisions and handling any student concerns about program content and other program matters.
Knowledge of EMBA programs and their governance, previous experience working with EMBA programs and other academic experience. Experience as an EMBA Director.
