USC'sÂ Human Resources Service CenterÂ is seeking anÂ HR GeneralistÂ to join its call center. Â As an HR Generalist, you will provide general HR client support to the university community and will ensure issues are handled with a high degree of expertise, customer satisfaction, and timely response and resolution. You will serve as a central point-of-contact for faculty, staff, student workers, managers, and administrators requiring assistance with routine employment and payroll matters, HRIS transactional requests, triaging requests, and managing cases referred or escalated to central HR centers of expertise for resolution. PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A 6-8 MONTH FIXED-TERM POSITION.
Additional accountabilities include:
Fields inquiries and requests from faculty, staff, and student workers for assistance with employment matters.
Provides support, as requested, to assist managers with routine employment matters, including preparation of offer letters, disciplinary procedures and official written warnings; performance development plans; recruitment; preparation of reorganization plans; termination requests; employee relations and dispute resolution.
Â Provides HRIS transactional support to schools/departments
Maintains knowledge of, interprets, and provides advice on university employment policies and procedures, benefit plans, and recommends best practices.
Serves as the employeeâs primary point-of-contact managing cases to resolution.
Documents telephone, email, Web-based or in person inquiries, referrals, escalation, and resolution using a case management system.

Preferred Field of Expertise:
HR generalist experience in a heavy volume call center environment and university or similar setting. Proficient in Workday; One or more of the following certifications: PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
