Summary of Position:
Supervise and coordinate the office operations of public safety and provide independent and responsible clerical/secretarial/dispatch and database maintenance services.
Required Work Experience:
Demonstrated experience working with computers and programs, e.g. Microsoft Office. Two years of supervisory experience. Demonstrated prior office managerial experience Demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills Demonstrated experience working in a diverse environment. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast pace environment. Demonstrated understanding of confidentiality requirements.

Experience with Zuercher, RMS, emergency communications, social media department communication, parking administration.
• Direct office activities, coordinating and directing office operations for police, parking, dispatch, and emergency preparation and response. • Interview, select, train and supervise clerical staff and dispatch specialist. • Coordinate the development and implementation of new procedural policies, instructing staff in methods, procedures and policies to be followed. • Maintain a harmonious and supportive working relationship with faculty, staff, students and visitors. • Answer inquiries from a variety of internal and external sources, and provide explanation and interpretation of the office and parking policies, requirements, practices and procedures of Public Safety, the division and the University. • Regularly deal with sensitive and confidential matters. • Administration and assistance to parking office during peak demands. • Supervise and troubleshoot problems with the computer local area network. • Maintain inventory level and manage cash and purchasing for the department. • Represent Public Safety at various meetings. • Serve on University committees. • Responsible for the administration and oversight of the Annual Security Report as required by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, commonly known as the Clery Act. • Able to respond as needed by the director or assistant director to assist the department in the event of a campus emergency.
