Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
The position involves cardiovascular and sickle cell anemia studies in mice, managing and tracking mouse colonies, measuring various factors in the plasma, and small animal surgeries. The position will involve independent work and will include planning and executing experiments under the supervision of a principal investigator and in conjunction with other laboratory personnel. The capacity to present data and assist in manuscript preparation is also required. It will also be expected that the applicant will serve as a resource to teach techniques and data analysis to other trainees.
Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of experience in a related field. Additional research experience in a laboratory setting is required. Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with others in a collaborative environment is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also a necessity.
Advanced degree in biological field—such as a Master’s or PhD degree is preferred.
